Moldavian Rose Blend

Traditional uses of the herbal ingredients.

Moldavian Balm - Dracocephalum moldavium - "Traditionally used as a tea herb, with a taste between hyssop and lemon balm. Medical indications are folkloric and limited only by the imagination!" (Reference 4)

Lemon Balm - Melissa officinalis - "Balm, given every morning, will renew youth, strengthen the brain and relieve languishing nature – London Dispensary, 1696. Its virtue of dispelling melancholy has been praised by herbal writers for centuries, and it is still used today in aromatherapy to counter depression." (Reference 2, Page 96)

Wild Bergamot Monarda fistulosa – "The strongly fragrant leaves were used when cooking meats, and make a pleasant aromatic tea." (Reference 3, page 52)

Calendula – calendula officinalis – "Cultivated since before 1573 for the showy flowers which are used in broths, soups, conserves, and for coloring butter. Also has many medicinal uses, mentioned in herbals as early as the 13th century." (Reference 3, page 17)

Damask Rose - Rosa damascena - " Rose essence is among the safest healing substances known. Aid circulation, cleanse the blood and tone capillaries. Soothes tension." (Reference 2, Page 120)
